For now my birds have a little dish on a old chimney pot, good for drinking but not good enough for bathing.

Best wishes Sylvia (England)Sylvia (England)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14658826538568918452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605500993437899334.post-46202726395920289132008-08-13T23:58:00.000-07:002008-08-13T23:58:00.000-07:00Cindy, I did not drill holes in this one, but made...Cindy, I did not drill holes in this one, but made sure that I chose plants that can handle wet feet. We'll see how it does. I did have a cement birdbath with succulents a few years ago (it fell over and broke) and it did well, but it was very shallow and the cement didn't hold water well. Good luck!Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15126794179121146839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605500993437899334.post-14057004673950562382008-08-13T23:23:00.000-07:002008-08-13T23:23:00.000-07:00I've been wanted to do the same thing with a birdb...I've been wanted to do the same thing with a birdbath of mine that is too deep for the birds. Tell me... did you drill drainage holes in it or did you just plant in the basin without drainage. I saw a lovely arrangement of succulents done in a birdbath outside the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, but didn't know if I could get away with it without drain holes.

CindyCindy Garber Iversonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15543940998038589239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605500993437899334.post-16883392048823297302008-08-13T21:16:00.000-07:002008-08-13T21:16:00.000-07:00I love it!
