I am a docent at the Hortense Miller Garden in Laguna Beach. Hortense is an amazing woman who gardened on a hillside for nearly fifty years. Before she settled in Laguna, she and her husband Oscar traveled the world. When it came time to settle down she said she wanted to live where the bougainvillea grew because it was so beautiful against the bright blue sky.
