You Are What You Eat!
I had to smile when I saw these aphids on my butterfly weed. They are not the usual green or black ones, but bright yellow, just like the flowers. oddly enough they were gone the next day, undoubtedly a colorful dinner for some other bug!
Sheila, I have never seen yellow aphids, so it does seem "you are what you eat" Glad the destructive little critters were gone the next day.
ReplyDeleteOh man, what a kicker! My roses were getting them and I finally bought a pack of ladybugs and they seemed to do the trick. They are tricky little buggars.
ReplyDeleteJust seeing these pests give me the willies...hate how they feel all slimy when I go to strip the stems with my fingers..uck! My problem was they were back the next day!
ReplyDeleteGreat observation. I'll have to keep that in mind as I'm looking at insects hereabouts.
