Pinch Me
I'm pretty negligent about pinching back the chrysanthemums in the gardens. Most of them do okay without too much pruning during the year and don't get too leggy and floppy. Not these ones! They definitely need some pinching to make them presentable at all. Next year, next year!
Join the club, I never remember to pinch them. oh wellll.....
ReplyDeleteOh the number of times I've said "next year" to myself. Perhaps I should write it down :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful mums. I love that maroon color.

I've never grown anything that needs to be pinched frequently. It seems like too much work! And I spend half my life telling my kids to stop pinching/hitting/touching each other, so I'd better not start doing any of that. Good luck keeping up with the pinching next season.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a pretty color!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful chrysanthemums. i love your garden!
ReplyDeleteI know, that pinching chore is hit or miss with me too. The mounds get full, round and look so great when we DO remember! Though I actually let some bloom way early (Aug) for color then cut them way back and have had success with a second flush of blooms. I love this deep colored one!
