Late Season Iris

There is something wonderful about iris that bloom in the fall. They are considered re-bloomers, however not all of them labeled as such deliver with consistency. This one is "Frequent Violet" and I divided it in June, thinking that it had stopped blooming. Now I have a number of little trimmed off plants with blooms. I am delighted!

  1. It is lovely, Sheila. I finally stopped transplanting my white Immortality rebloomers for log enough that another set of buds had formed last month, but our unseasonably cold temps (in the teens at night) have done them in before they could open. Maybe next year!

  3. What a treat! I LOVE irises. I keep telling myself I'll plant some in the garden and then I don't do it. I don't know why because they are a splendor.
