Gaura-Go-Lightly

I love the look of gaura in the garden. It is so light and airy and moves with the slightest breeze like a swarm of little white butterflies. It is very drought tolerant (native to Texas) and easy to grow and I think it adds an interesting texture to the garden all summer.

You always introduce me to a new flower. I've never heard of this one, but then of course, I'm far from a drought type area. It's very pretty.

Gaura is a lovely plant. It really does look like butterflies floating in the air(-:

I really like Gaura too - I have some pink ones. Last year one plant even survived the winter - (they are not hardy here but grown as annuals). I like the lightness and they bloom for a long time.

We just planted this in my garden here in Cape Town, South Africa. Its still tiny right now but if it looks anything as pretty as yours when it "grows up", I'll be thrilled!
