This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

Bashful Beauty
Gardeners are supposed to be patient and I usually am, but I could not wait for my hellebores to bloom, which should be soon. I was at the nursery last week picking out plants for one of the new garden beds in the back yard in SJC when I spotted this beauty and it was love at first sight. She came home with me and is now settling in her new home in the moonlight garden.

A bashful beauty by moonlight -- it all sounds very romantic. :)
Lovely hellebore! I had a deep purple one in my previous garden. Need to get some here too! The pale ones are so ethereal, as you say.
That is a lovely addition to the moonlight garden. Enjoy. My hellebores are under snow right now.

What a perfect addition to your moonlight garden Sheila. I have trouble growing hellebores and I need to figure out why and fix that! I'd love to have some early blooms. Enjoy!
I wish the nurseries had plants out right now...I would be there with a little red wagon to carry them to my garden! Lovely hellebores..gail
