This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

Way In The Back
If you look closely you can see a white flag in the back of this deep bed of mainly green. It is a really tall calla lily that is marking the beginning of their season in the cool weather. It stands out like a beacon of hope that the winter flowers are beginning to bloom and hold us over until spring.
No outdoor winter flowers for me, Sheila, but I do love the callas during the summer. I've never tried one indoors (my only choice for them at this time of year) but maybe I'll succumb to the urge to rescue one from a store sometime this week.

I love Callas. I think they are beautiful flowers, and are great for just about any occasion.
