This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

More Please!
Note to self; plant more abutilon! The are so easy that I sometimes forget about them, but they are one of the most charming shrubs in the garden this time of year! Shade tolerant, drought tolerant, disease and pest resistant and blooming beautifully without any fertilizers other than a topdressing of compost occasionally. Those charming flowers and lovely foliage even when they are not in their long bloom cycle. What's not to love?

We are just off the beach a few blocks and have been plagued with white flies on this wonderful plants....which they were more moisture (air) tolerant.
Other than that, I just love the look and variety of colors!
I totally agree! On top of that, some of them have very interesing, sometimes variegated, foliage. I have three of them and would grow more if I had room....
I love them too, Sheila. Two types are blooming their heads off in my Austin garden right now, and I have another on order from Plant Delights.
