Cracked Pot

I had ordered this pot last year from a mail order catalog and it arrived in pieces. The company agreed to replace it at no charge. Instead of throwing away the broken pottery, which was still lovely even in pieces, I found a place and a plant for it in the garden as shown above.
And here is the lovely pot that came all in one piece!

I am so glad you were able to find a use for your broken pot. It looks great too! Its such a bummer when you get something in the mail and it is broken! The new one is beautiful!
Is that a donkey tail plant? For some reason the birds eat mine. I have tried to grow them and everytime some bird picks off all the little pieces!

Very good use of the cracked pot.It is like the succulents are just too heavy for the pot... oopps!... it just fell... and just being noticed for the fist time :-) I hope your garden visitors will enjoy looking at this display. Have a wonderful week!

Great use of your broken pot. Sometimes the broken pot is more interesting than the intact one! That's why I rarely get upset when one of my huge glazed pots falls apart. The bigger the pot, the more shards---and more opportunities to spread them around the garden. Plus, smaller pieces can become part of a mosaic!

Yes Cindee, that is a combination of two different kinds of donkey tails in the pot. How funny, I have grown these for years and I have never heard of birds liking them!

Fantastic idea, Sheila! The cracked urn looks so natural there!
