This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

Easy Container
This planter bowl is located on top of the waterfall filter in our front garden in Laguna. For years I planted it with annuals which I was forever having to replant, fertilize to keep looking lush, and prune and deadhead, all of which was very difficult due to the location of the pot. Finally I resorted to succulents and I have been happy with it ever since. There is a soft, peaceful hue to the colors and it is very low maintenance.

That is a very lovely container.
Very nice
I did this too with my waterbed pond. I got tired of replanting and deadheading all the time. So I resorted to succulents and I am so much happier. I think they look a lot nicer and more interesting. Yours looks great too!!! I want to see your waterfall!!!!
Beautiful.
What a beautiful idea! I may have to build a waterfall to plant with succulents! We don't have rocks here in south Florida, and I am so jealous of your westerners!!! LOL.
I am so glad you put succulants in your planter...it is just stunning! (And sunning)...with no work on your part!!! YEAH
