I have had some passion flowers that have been so fast growing that they actually scared me and I eventually took them out because I felt they were out of control and no amount of cutting back could keep them from taking over every thing in a thirty foot radius. I hope this one is a bit more restrained!
This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

Blooming Passionately

It's hard to imagine something so beautiful also gets out of control. It doesn't seem fair. I hope this one is enthusiastic but not thuggish for you.
I know what you mean. I had to take out a beautiful 'Incense' because it was seeding out aggressively.
I have vines pop up all over but no flowers! I have left a few because I had heard that the gulf fritilary caterpillar feeds on the vine. gail
I haven't tried this, but I do love the beautiful flowers.

I've never had a passion flower vine before. I want now after looking at your picture! Thanks for warning about its fast growth.
