Swan River Daisy

I adore fine little plants that you can put in the ground and then forget about, allowing them to take on a life of their own, rambling around rocks and through cracks, weaving interest throughout other plants. Brachyscome, or Swan River Daisy is one of those plants. I use it as a filler that blends well with other plants in full sun. It is a perennial in our climate and gets to be a substancial mound with a two foot spread in the right conditions.

Hi Sheila! I saw similar plants yesterday on our local garden tour. Nobody could remember the name, but it was type of daisy. It filled all the spaces between other plants making the garden light and cheerful.

This looks like my Santa Barbara Daisy--a reliable, cheerful friend, ready to step in and help if there is a problem, but never intrusive. Time for the name "Daisy" to come back in style for baby girls!

I have some Santa Barbara Daisy and I love it! It is a wonderful filler-in-plant too!
