Stargazers? I Think Not!

These are the lilies I bought from a vendor at a garden show that were supposed to be Stargazers, which are lovely shades of red, pinks and white with spots. These are not even close! Luckily they are in a bed with lots of burgundy so they aren't too bad, but I was so looking forward to my Stargazers! Now to see what blooms where the Casa Blancas are planted!

Note: I believe this is 'Baja' lily.

So frustrating when something like that happens, but the lilies are still really gorgeous - maybe not what you wanted but beautiful all the same. -Jackie

They are quite a bit different from Stargazers. They do look very pretty with the plants behind them. Do they have a nice scent still?

Nice lilies - but perhaps not when you were expecting Stargazer, which is one of my favorites.

Oh, dear. I get really cranky when I expect pink and get orange instead. Better luck with your casa blancas!

They are wonderful, but what a far cry from that hot pink! It will be interesting to see what Casa Blanca turns out to be. Those orange with the burgundy must be stunning though. All lilies are so beautiful.

Hi Shiela,
Your photos are lovely! I got lilies like this in a mixed bag from Breck's and didn't know what they were - now I can put a name to them! They're very striking.
