Furnishing the Gravel Garden

There seems to be a curse on the Gravel Garden. I have been having a heck of a time getting the thing finished! It seems that everything I order for it in the way of adornment, including the table, chairs and lighting has been riddled with issues and problems. I finally am at least at a point where it is somewhat what I had envisioned; a cool, romantic location to spend warm summer evenings with friends over a good meal and a bottle of wine. (My original fantasy included a meal from the home grown vegetables from the garden, but I have abandoned that idea until some serious fencing is appropriated for the veggie garden.) Now if only we would get some "warm" summer evenings!

what kind of gravel is that ? it looks like white and tan beach pebble, maybe.

it looks great, despite past devilish obstructions.

Wow....love your garden furniture. Where can I buy this and at what cost ?

Garden Harlot, it is a gravel from a local building supply called 'Phoenix Sun' (the gravel is called that, not the building supply). It has shades of tan, gold and pink in it and goes well with the other hardscaping that was already on the property. It is a sharp gravel, not beach pebble and is wonderfully crunchy!

Ann Flowers, I had the table made by a supplier in LA called 'Big Daddy Antiques'. The chairs and cushions came from Restoration Hardware. Although it was not cheap, my experience has been that outdoor furniture is not a place to skimp because the cheap stuff does not last and you end up replacing it in a short time. I have had good luck with this kind of rattan from RH and it looks great for a very long time.
