This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

I Want More
I want more of these 'Green Goddess' calla lilies! Luckily the garden show I bought the bulbs at last year is coming up next month and I will be there to get a bunch. It is a dramatic flower that grows in the shade with no problems. It even does well with little water, makes a great cut flower and I can think of a number of shady spots in the garden that can be enhanced with this pretty plant.

I've never seen it before! How beautiful! Thank you, Sheila!
Sheila, that is quite a lovely flower. I wouldn't mind that one in my garden.
I was given a few of the common variety to put in my garden last year and it looks as though they are all doing well. It really is a very hardy plant.
This is a very unique and beautiful calla lily!
She is a beauty! Somehow, though, that name makes me think of that weird green salad dressing.
I am not sure I like it!? Probably looks better in real life... But to me it looks like an algae smear. LOL! Very interesting though!
Are you going to the show at South Coast Plaza? I was thinking of going too.
Fern, yes, I go every year. I enjoy seeing the demonstration gardens and I usually pick up a few plants from the specific garden clubs (like iris and day lilies). I also love to stop by California Carnivores and buy some unusual plants that you can't find anywhere else. Have fun!
