Pretty Little Cranesbills
Hardy geraniums (cranesbills) are a staple in both of my gardens. This one has been growing for years in a wild spot in the Laguna garden with little attention and no problems at all. This is the time of year they start their show and will continue on throughout the summer and into fall. An amazingly resilient plant for such a dainty and sweet look.

They really are little workhorses in the garden - and they earn their keep as they say here (Scotland). Ours are still snug under the ground - the first little shoots have still to appear but once they do they will not only give me great groundcover but a lovely array of colours around June time. Sadly our summers are not long enough and I never get a 2nd flush of flowers from them - you seem to have many repeat flowerings. Welcome to Blotanical.
Hi Shelia. It is always so nice to have or learn of plants that keep on going and are reliable for blooms.
I love hardy geraniums too. They'll grow almost anywhere and have such pretty little flowers.
Hi Sheila!
I arrived by chance on your blog, through that of my friend
Catherine.
I adore the Geranium plants are very nice, strong and generous
bloom throughout the spring and much of the summer.
From this year because I'm expanding my collection in the garden.
Now continue reading the blog ..... ;)
Sheila, I'll add my name to the list of hardy geranium lovers. This is a lovely variety. -Jean
