This is about life in my gardens. One is an acre on a hillside in Laguna Beach, California and the other is an acre in San Juan Capistrano, California.

Reverting Color
See those pretty blue campanula in the faux wood birdbath? Well, I swear they were white when I planted them a year ago. That is occasionally what happens to white plants that I put in the Moonlight Garden. The hybrid plants have a tendency to revert back to the parent color under certain conditions. I'm not sure if it is the soil, water ph or the sunlight, but I see it happen often with the white plants. Will I remove them to maintain the 'white' integrity of this palette? Probably not because they are awfully pretty. But I will have my eye on them!

I've learned something new. White to blue. Interesting.
I grow a lot of plants from seed and a year or two ago I had a Campanula pyramidalis that was purple the first year, and then I moved it, and the next year the blooms were smaller and white. I have no idea what happened, but it may have been two plants in one, who know!?!
Interesting! I also notice some plants change color if growing from the seeds from the hybrid plants. Blue should go quite well with white color in your moonlight garden :)
How interesting ... I have never had this happen. It is lovely growing there and blue and white go so well together. ;>)
